That's nice john. Corn cob is better in the second but it seems to have taken a reddish tinge - deliberate? My only crit. is that the highlights in the BG are a bit distracting, particularly the bit on the upper RHS. Some burning in and a vignette might be worth a try.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. The tinge was not deliberate, I modified the mono image, added just a bit of contrast to the corn cob.

It's a good subject and works well in B&W John.

My only concern is the haloing left present around the head scarves which I suspect has been introduced when blurring the background.
