And I suppose that they were also prayer flags on that distant by his right side. Nice shot...
I love the folds in his robe, Manfred. The soft light and fabric work well in contrast to the hard lines of the railing. Well seen.
Nicely captured.
Nice image, Manfred. I hope you get to have a conversation with one of the young monks for at least 20 minutes or so. The conversation I had with one in Cambodia was both enjoyable and illuminating.
Great image... I wonder if some slight fill flash might not have balanced the background brightness against the monk...
Nice Capture.
I perfectly understand your need for a lightweight outfit... I use the Canon 270EXii flash when I need to go bare-bones lightweight. I can either use it as an on camera flash as flash fill usually straight flash, a bounced flash in a small area with a Demb Photojournalist FlipIt or as an off camera slave, triggered by the onboard flash of my 7D cameras. It's not exceptionally powerful but, it has HSS capability with the right cameras (post Canon 30D models)...
Richard - I own all kinds of flash gear - my SB600 is quite small. There simply wasn't enough room for it.
Also not a tool I tend to use in street photography.
