I have no concern whatsoever with the tail, legs and feet since this is
a "natural" environment. Anyway, like you said, it's all in the eyes!

Beautiful animal. No law says one has to take full body shots. No problem IMO chopping the tail/feet. If the eyes/face are the intended center of attention, then a bit more space on the right side of the frame would be helpful.

I have the same qualm about clipping limbs etc. I usually don't notice until I'm in the process of editing. Lately, I've been noticing it more as I'm composing the shot and end up taking more shots to correct the clip. Doesn't always work when using a standard lens.
