    NOT TRUE.

There are many people producing wonderful colour images of Scotland ... just that I'm not one of them! I'd say that Scotland in the northern hemispehere at this time of year can rival the autumn/fall season in many parts of North America. It is a beautifully colourful country. I just like making B & W images.
The B&W is beautiful, though technically very difficult.

No, NOT TRUE. I know a wonderful Scot with a marvelous personality!

I just know that SAns believe that you have not seen green, till you've been to Scotland. Of course, there are also very many Scottish people here.

Donald, I find it easiest to use the Windows 7 snipping tool for screen grabs.
    Easy Screen Grab

The NIK control points are a wonderful way to make selections for just about any purpose. I am sure that if Adobe had purchased NIK instead of Google, that Photoshop enthusiasts would be singing the praises of that system instead of trying to knock the NIK software as many do now...

I like this image a lot. I like the vignette. I also like the arrangement of the headstones. To me, the vignette, the headstones all lead us through the cemetery, from the land of the deceased onward, to the land of the living...

This image is a tad more evocative than other image for me Donald. At first I was on the side of the vignette being a tad heavy handed but it is growing on me.

I do love the hills in the background of the first image though Donald. Any hope of seeing a wider view of that image?

As an aside I took a look Adore Noir online and see why the publication inspires you so much.

Anyway, Mike (Buckley) said he'd like to see what it was like.

So here it is. I'm more pleased with it now that I've spent more time in the digital darkroom with it. For those who use Nik's Silver Efex Pro, there are a lot (and I mean a LOT) of control points on this, trying to deal with the subtleties of the cloud, of the gravestones and the wall arfound the graveyard.

I did say, when we discussed it in that other thread, that it included the Atlantic Ocean. My mind/memory had got it wrong. There is a bit of Atlantic in it, but not so as you'd notice.

Anyway, always interested in the views of colleagues on here.

I am in the minority but from the perspective of 'social commentary' I prefer the first shot. It throws the pain of being cut off from the land into my soul.

I'm just pleased that my images provoke such thoughtful opinion and comment. If they do that, then they've worked.
