New filters in PS CC...
Hello everyone,
Quick question; I've recently updated PS CC to it's latest version and the new filters which I'd like to have a quick play about with are greyed out from the menu.
Now, is anybody else having this problem or am I just being a bit thick?
Thanks in advance...

Hi Mark,
With CC, a new app folders were created and possibly your plugins were not
migrated to the CC apps folder. Since many of the CC apps have not had major
updates, your plugins should still be working if you target them using the plugins
manager from within, in this case, PS CC.

Hi Kodiak,
No problems with any plug-ins. Just the new Flame generator filter.

Re: New filters in PS CC...
This is a longshot, but I had the same problem until I read that most of the filters won't operate on 16-bit-per-channel images. Have you tried looking to make sure (Image->Mode->8 bits per channel) is checked?

Re: New filters in PS CC...
Mark,
the Flame filter caused me a problem too - because I didn't realise what the alert box was telling me. That is, you first have to draw a 'path' on the picture with the pen tool, and then select that path with the 'path selection' tool (little arrow icon), and then go to the flame filter. (Sorry, if you that is what you have been doing...) It works in 16 bit ok.
My only problem with CC2014 is that that I cannot access the 'Filter Gallery' under the Filter menu anymore. It still works fine in CC - not that I have ever used anything in there - but CC2014 says it cannot allocate any more virtual tiles, so I assume it is a memory problem. I tried increasing the number of cache levels, and the amount of ram, but to no avail. Still, there is nothing in there that I want to use, so I am not bothered about it.
