Re: Drone Fly
I was expecting a robot but this will do nicely. Very nice.

Re: Drone Fly
Very nice, David. The face, if that is what it is called, is nice and sharp.

Re: Drone Fly
The last shot nicely demonstrates the light and dark vertical banding in the eyes. I find this is so difficult to photograph, even when I can clearly see it through my viewfinder.

Re: Drone Fly
Aw...I like #2 -- it's alienesque look is superb. I went to google the anatomy of this "drone fly" and like John (Shadowman) I was inundated with pages of the robot drone so I added the word "bee" at the end --finally! google understood what I was looking for . I was just curious about that thing hanging in the middle collecting those yellow sweet things in the flower. So that is the nose! Hmmm...another page added to my learning...I have to go into this, this Tuesday when it stops raining ...

Re: Drone Fly
Great work, David. I see shots like this and know where Hollywood gets its inspiration for alien monsters.
However, it looks very much like a bee to me. What is the difference between them?

Thank's Chris, they are very like Worker Bee's at first glance, but very different when you have a good look
Cheers David
