    Mountain Express

Deliberately grittified in Nik Viveza to suit the mood and subject. As always C&C very welcome.

John, I think the gritty effect is well-suited to this subject, although the brightness of the clouds in the background leaves me wondering why the station lamps are illuminated.

    Re: Mountain Express

    Thanks all for your comments.

Greg, (Eagle Eyes) the brightness in the sky is down to Viveza (I originally called it Vivenza in error). When you add Structure, it adds contrast and I should have spotted it. It's easy to correct. It's a particular problem if you have any suggestion of halos because it can emphasise them. If you have access to my metadata, you will see that the shot was taken at around 5.40 pm on a dull Saturday evening in February. Hence the lights but I'm saying nothing about the star bursts.

Izzie, love your (new?) tag line.

    Hey John,

Under the tab "imagery", this contains quite powerful graphic elements that
build up to a rendition coherent to your approach. Well done!

Thanks Kodiak. I like to think that my photography leans more in that direction than SOOC record although I enjoy both.
