    Grahame, I wouldn't worry about the haze in your shots. It gives a sense of depth and layering(which is good). Having the closer hills dark and the haze on the distant mountains makes the scene have a sense of great depth. I like the cloud detail in #1. All 3 are good shots but #1 is the best of the series.
