Hangin' with the guys

In August (toward the end of winter down here), on a cold and blustery day, I ventured to a local marina for no reason at all. I didn't really expect to be taking any photographs on such a terrible day, although I try to have my camera with me wherever I go.

Seagulls (to me), are not the most interesting birds, however when I saw these guys gathered together on a wooden rail waiting for the wind to drop, I couldn't help myself!

Must have been a boring meeting… half of them are snoring, an
other half is on one leg. …gave you plenty of time to aim and

Maybe "Hangin' with the gals" may have been more appropriate?

Good captures Chris, they may not be interesting birds but very photogenic when you can get them in a group like these.

I like both of them, Chris...they are good exercise subject for BIF especially in the footy field. You've caught them here in their peaceful moment -- when they are not scavenging. I love #2 best.
