Nice captures Geoff!
That darker cow certainly had curly locks, Izzie. Almost like a poodle. :D
Another one standing nearby had similar hair.
I was trying to get both calves and the adult in a suitable position but didn't quite achieve what I wanted. There were a couple of images that almost worked but the cow was in too much of a head down position.
But I did catch the calves on their own.

Also, there is a building in the background of the dark cow shot. Here it is closer up.

Originally constructed as a signal station tower when there was a risk of invasion from the French under Napoleon. A number of these towers were constructed along the south coast but few have remained.
And during a more recent conflict it marked the end of a grass strip runway in the 1940's.
Very interesting, Geoff. I like history. Good shot but why is the eyes of the cow on the right looks like that? Just curious...
Just boredom I think. Half asleep while facing into the sun. The other is full of wonder over seeing that strange creature with a camera.
And going back to the poodle type hairstyle, I think this shot shows that in better detail.

Week 52 - Showers and sunny spells = Rainbows
Finally got to the last week. ;)
It's mostly greyish and windy with frequent showers here, but with the odd brighter spell in between.

No time to look around and choose perfect locations, so these were what was available from my garden.
Nice shots to end your #52 week project. If I have to choose, I'd say #2 is your winner here for adding the township or city at the RHS and the foreground made it more so.
Yes those were my thoughts when looking at the limited options, Izzie.
Incidentally, with these shots there was a little bit of noise in the dark sky areas so I created a selection around the problem areas and did some selective noise reduction. Using a duplicate later and an edited mask would have also worked.
