Summitville
Established in the late 1800’s, Summitville, CO eventually came to become one of the largest (and most expensive) superfund sites in the USA. Thanks to a Canadian mining company who came in to mine in the mid to early 1980’s.
A fairly good bit of the original camp structures are still standing.
I clocked it at approx. 13,500 ft elevation.
Hard to imagine the hardships of gold mining in the 1800’s at this elevation.
Please feel free to let me know what I need!

Re: Summitville
Hi Terry
I like the image, is it HDR? It looks a bit oversharpened to me .

Re: Summitville
Very nice image, Terry. This version appears a little overly sharpened to me also but I would be willing to bet that the original is just fine.
