Re: What Else... Birds
Nice shots, Joe. Re the Anhinga, when it is in flight must be the only time its head isn't darting about in 360 different directions at once.

Re: What Else... Birds
I love the pose of #2 especially if I do not have to go scroll to and from the page...my memory is like that of a child, very short span, so if you do not mind numbering your shot, it will help...

Very nice series (again) Joe. 1 and 2 are wall hangers for me.

Re: What Else... Birds
That first one made me sit up, so clear as is the second too, with subtle colours, both lovely shots. Good set .

Re: What Else... Birds
As always, gorgeous images. My faves are the 1st image (just gorgeous) and the 3rd image for the unique close-up view of the beauty of a heron. An Anhinga in flight, amazing. (The only time I've only seen these birds perched in trees) The Limpkin is gorgeous, too. (cute and a little ruffled)

Re: What Else... Birds
Top notch bird photos. Can't find any issues to critique, but these are excellent shots of these birds, most of which I do not normally see where I am, except the grebe, there have been a lot of those around lately. I see you are using zoom lenses, and still extremely sharp. Does just 300mm provide you enough reach normally in the field?
