Good shot, Terry. Committed expression on his face, and nice motion blur at the end of the trumpet. I think your mate will want to hang this one on his wall.
Wonderful, Terry! Consider toning down the bright light in the background beneath the straight mute.
Thank you Greg. I don't know (or haven't really evaluated) if it is motion blur. I shot wide f/2.8, 1/100 at ISO 2000 at an evening concert outdoors!
Always bad light in these venues.
So I'm thinking it a DoF blur but am not sure.
Thanks Mike. I'll have another look at the bright spot.
Oh, and BTW? Harmon mute (copper) without the stem!![]()
Pretty big difference Mike!
Straight, cup, bucket, Harmon...
...and new materials. The Harmon with stem is a kind of "wah-wah".
Next score you write I'll be happy to serve as brass consultant! You don't want to PO your brass blowers!![]()
Good one Terry. Whether motion blur or DoF it significantly adds to the shot.
Now this is more like how your people shot looks like...very nice, Terry. My once piano instructor was a trumpet player primarily so as soon as I saw this one, I recognized it to be a muted one. He used to play at all our events.
Nicely shot and framed Terry. I agree about the highlight though.
Great capture Terry, I wont mention the highlight
David
Thank you guys!
Thanks for not mentioning the highlight David!
Really, I would rather you mention the incorrect levels setting in this shot instead!
(It has been corrected in the original file!)
I loved it Terry, great shot![]()
Great shot, the eyes, the concentration, the emotion![]()
