    Testing

I've been taking a new camera with me everywhere over the last week or three shooting whatever was around me and whatever I (we) were up to. Have to say I'm very impressed and more to the point I'm enjoying shooting on a daily basis. I'm not specifically going out to take pictures with a subject/theme in mind though that is a very rewarding thing to do, more just taking shots of anything I spot. What I have found is it changes the way you appreciate what is around you every day, almost making you see things with a virtual viewfinder and not just your eyes.

    Oh, the shame of it!

    Wonderful stuff, Robin.

There have been a number of articles of late in 'Black & White Photography' magazine about photography with phones and all the various apps etc that are available. There are a lot of people out there making pictures with phone cameras.

All these photographs prove to me is that it's not the tool that counts but the eye behind it. A really good set of images and I think that 2, 3 and 4 are particularly well seen - just love the brick.

    Thanks

Donald I'll have a look and might subscribe. I have a few (quite a few actually) camera apps and editors on the iPhone but I tend to shoot with the standard Apple camera as its simple then use either Snapseed or Instagram to edit them. I also have Lightroom as part of the CC package which is amazingly powerful.

    Re: Testing

I just love #2 and #4 -- the composition are very nice in all of them but #2 and #4 stands out very well. I would never have guessed either that this is taken on an iphone. My DIL shoots with an iphone and I am very tempted to give her one of my cameras as it seemed to hit and missed with her shots, mostly my grandchild. I just have to show this thread to her....
