    Brindley

I could live on a boat like this, just wandering the canals and taking photographs. How's that for a daydream. Taken in a small market town called Skipton which is quite a busy waterway hub on the Leeds/Liverpool canal. The canal climbs up over the Pennine hills and is popular with boating enthusiasts.

Lovely shot John I would try noise reduction selectively in the sky to get rid of banding.

    Thanks all for commenting.

Binnur, I understand what you mean but because it was a processed shot anyway, I wasn't too bothered about the striations in the sky. I had to get quite aggressive with noise reduction to have any effect - Nik wouldn't touch it but Topaz did. Even so, all it did was to join up the dots. I think I would have to apply a Median filter to flatten the sky but the masts etc. make that quite difficult to apply. On balance, it might have to stay as it is.

I love your daydream, John. I can see how this picture might inspire that, and isn't that what photography is about - to inspire the imagination.
