    John,

That appeals to me very much, but I would like it better without the leaves at the bottom right corner and centre right, and possibly the beetle, if that is what it is, in the centre bottom area. Very interesting, intriguing image, though.

    Janis,

Thanks for the comments, I left the red leaf in the composition to add a bit of heat to the image; perhaps a bit too distracting.

Nice image, John, but agree with David and Janis. That bright green 'strip' of something about the middle of frame and just to the right of the subject is distracting too.

It is a work of art...simply beautiful, John...I like even the leaf at the RHS to break the colouring of the whole shot...what I find a little bit our of sort is the little beetle

Well it's certainly unusual John, some good colours and makes you wonder where it was captured.

    Hi Binnur,

Thanks for the comments and critique. Mostly time of day, around 3:00PM, a fair amount of sunlight streaming on a pond.

An interesting photo John. I agree with the others in that there are perhaps too many elements in it, but the idea is good. And I'd love to know what post-processing you did.

    Hi Tony,

Thanks for the comments and critique. PP included minimal tonal adjustment in LR.
