Just a bit, the closed bud to the right is also vying for attention.

Absolutely not. I think that one centre of interest is enough. One may debate that point I guess.

I agree it is close. Aa for the bud vying it is a beginning middle end sort of shot?

I never debate on this site. I am just not quite sure in my mind about this one.

But others can. Perhaps it is a momentary glitch. If not here is another link to it. http://jbrianwaddington.wordpress.co...ame-direction/

The main interest is fine, nice comp, exposure and PP. Not sure about the other buds and leaf? on the left, consider cloning them out and that brown stalk.

Definitely NOT what I think of as over-processed. I can think of differences in how I might have handled processing but I don't think that what your question is about (?).

It depends on what is meant by the term: and no doubt many differences of opinion are out there on the subject of 'over-processing.' To me, it's over processed when I look at the image and the outstanding aspect of it is the processing itself. The processing becomes a distraction rather than an enhancement. Very subjective to be sure but it does not come to mind for me in this shot.

And I say thanks be that there are differences of opinion on how to bring out the best in any shot. As long as you don't see just the processing in this shot I'm happy.
