Interesting image.
I like the colour....
It is interesting indeedMay I ask how you did it ?
BTW, I love your avatar. Would you upload it with a bigger size so that I could see it better?
It's done by superimposing three photos; after taking the first one, I rotated the camera slightly, took another, then repeated. A single vapour trail of a plane became the three lines that cross in the middle.
Some cameras can superimpose a number of photos and create a single one in-camera (RAW or JPG). Mine can do that, but if it couldn't then I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to do it on the computer. When taking the photo, I determined the exposure for a single photo, then switched to manual and multiplied the shutter speed by three to reduce the amount of light captured for each of the three photos.
The blue in the trees is due to superimposing blue sky from one of the photos over the trees of another.
My avatar is of an orangutan in Auckland Zoo (New Zealand). I was caught by the intelligence in his eyes as he looked at me. That's why I use it; I imagine (hope?) that I look at the world in the same was as he appeared to look at me.
Here's a bigger photo:
Thank you for the explanation Tony. I loved this orangutan shot, very cute one indeed, he looks very friendlyWhy was there a blanket on his back? I hope he wasn't ill.
Interesting. I note you refrained from adding stronger colours like red and yellow somewhere in the image. Would that work?
The orangutan looks quite regal
