Moiré in an image for dummies

Bit of moire here in an image from my D7100 but not mentionable until enlarged.

Pretty screwed-up settings for indirect sunlight but I had just stepped outside from taking shots in limited interior lighting.

An odd question that . . no such implication was intended.

How about I was implying that the Sigma [camera sensor] does NOT suffer from color moiré ?

Ed as you are no doubt aware, the D7100 has no AA filter. This would increase the likelihood of moire a bit but counteracting that is the fine pixel pitch that comes with 24MP on an APS-C sensor (high sampling frequency). It should only exhibit moire with the finest detail in a repetitive pattern (which is what you have in this image). Interesting image by the way.

I find this info very interesting...I have not have any other camera system apart from a few succession of Olympus and of course my Nikons. Thanks again.
