    Why you should not dispose of chewing gum irresponsibly...

    This is a story of a family taking a walk...hopefully people will be mindful of where they throw away these gums...

    That's pretty cool. I suspect the bird's contact with the gum was not a random event. It was likely attracted by the smell/color. When we go boating they routinely fly hundreds of yards from shore to check out brightly colored slickers, kayaks, etc. that we carry on the boat. Once at the boat they seem to be attracted to odors as well.

    Thank you all for the comments...I think the little bird is the lucky one, David...
    Dan, I didn't know about that kind of character in that bird. In Oz we have a bird (satin bowerbird) that is only attracted to blue things, no matter what it is, as long as it is blue, it pick it up and collect them to attract a mate.
