Not sure what kind of bird this is. I assume it's a young eagle? Anyone know fur sure?? It was in a field with only a single tree in it. Took with a Canon 7D with a 70-200 plus a 2x extender. ISO 1000 @ 1000sec

I think if it was in the U.S. you are most likely right about immature balled eagle. Could be third or fourth year. Some reference photos on this site http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/bald_eagle/id. Photo wise, it isn't as bad as some of my best eagles
, but a little more PP could probably help matters. I notice some color noise that would be easy to reduce.
