Just in time for Halloween
Sometimes there are images that just haunt you.
These are a few that I have kept in the vaults, hoping, that one day I could do something with them. My recent mentoring experiences have allowed me to bring these pictures out and work them so that they are more what I originally wanted to project.

What do you think? Please C&C.

Re: Just in time for Halloween
Hello Marie: As the images came into view, my first reaction was that the first one does indeed convey a spooky mood. Definitely, a good Halloween shot.
I actually found that the second one gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I will have to explain this because otherwise you would think I was a bit crazy. That shot reminds me so much of the cover of a children's book called "The Spooky Old Tree". It is a Berenstain Bears book. I spend many hours reading that book when my son was little.
As to the third one, I am a bit puzzled as to what it represents and what the subject actually is. It may be too close in for me to really grasp the mood. All in all, very nice, and thanks for bringing back a good memory.

Nicely captured, that last image is the scariest.

I agree with John -- the last image is the scariest -- I can see a face of a big snake right in the middle of the shot there! The first one is really good too sort of expecting some bats or some little kerchief mischievous little face flying amongst the branches at night... I think that is a mailbox at the RHS?

Ok DUH I now see the hidden face in Number #3 ! Yes, it is scary, if you are afraid of snakes. Personally, I think the snow frightens me more.

Lols, John, good eye!!!!
Izzie, yeah, a mailbox. if I were to print this, I would get rid of the mailbox and the telephone wires.
Suzan, I too, have warm fuzzies for this tree. It is ancient, twisted and tortured. It is actually quite hollow, yet it still lives.
I only wanted to "suggest" a snake, not smack you upside the face with him.

These recall the trees at Hogwarts. Good find and fine B&W conversions.

I wonder if you could get away with boosting the highlights a fraction; but keep the shadows dark.
