Margam Park
Took this a couple of months ago at Margam Country Park but forgot to edit/process it. C&C welcomed

Re: Margam Park
Basic exposure and focus are fine but, for me, there is too much heavy shadow in the foreground.

Re: Margam Park
Hi Matt Is this a cropped image, do you have some more sky at the top in the original? If you have, I think the image might look better with less foreground and some more sky.

Re: Margam Park
Nice, if there'd been a reflection of the sun included you would have captured or attempted to a dynamic range of values.

Re: Margam Park
I like the composition because it draws my eye to the parallel lines of the building and the walkway. More diffuse light would have been more appealing but so often we have to take what we get. The vignette is too heavy to my taste but that really is only a matter of taste.

Re: Margam Park
I actually have no problem with the shadow either Matt. IMO it adds a feeling of calmness to the image. I wanted to see it with a little bit more sky and a bit less FG, but the image looks nice as is too (May be it wouldn't look as nice with my suggestion anyway)

Re: Margam Park
It just now occurred to me that it might have been nice to include a person on the walkway in the lower right area of the scene looking at the building. That would have made a connection between the walkway and the building.

Re: Margam Park
I'll keep that in mind when I go back there! There are also Deer in the fields surrounding the buildings so fingers crossed I'll get to capture some of them.

Re: Margam Park
Found a shot I took from a different angle of this building... don't like the composition as much though.

Re: Margam Park
nice, prefer the first, Kudos - making Margam Park in 'sunny' Wales look almost tropical
