Hi Carol,
The insert was in html, which this forum blocks, but I extracted the link from that and added in the IMG tags

Re: Spring Rose.
Hi Carol,
My pleasure, it was worth it.
I see you have used fill flash there and got a good balance with sunlight (unless it was two flashes).
Might be worth a diffuser on the flash as having two hard edged shadows looks slightly unnatural, that said, I'm being very picky for a first post, please forgive me.
Given the good composition, and colour of the bloom, the (quite bright) background highlights don't distract as much as they might otherwise.
EDIT btw I just deleted the second, identically titled thread with only the hyperlink in, as it seemed to be to same picture, hope that's ok?, let me know if not and I can re-instate.
Very good effort (better than mine),

Re: Spring Rose.
Quite a good shot, Carol. The only slight distraction is that white area at the top. I was taking lot's of flower shots yesterday, and I found myself moving things out of the way that were intruding. Obviously, you can't go hacking bits of plants, unless they are yours, but often you can push things aside by tucking a stem under another.
What camera do you normally use?

Re: Spring Rose.
A Canon g7 without any bells and whistles brand new at this but what fun and excitement. I really appreciate your help and comments. Kind regards. Carol.
