    Dramatic Seashells - Series 4

The Dramatic Seashell series continues. These are focus-stacked, b&w images, which I've intentionally processed to be high contrast and punchy. In case you missed it, here is series 3

These are, of course, excellently done. I have no experience in that sort of work, but they look good to me. Just curious, have you tried a color version of the shells w/ black background? I think that would be attractive.
Also curious, where did you find those beautiful shells?

Thanks for the comments. I have not tried color versions, for two reasons: 1. my vision for the images was for monochrome, and 2. most of these shells are dull in color, anyway.

I've had these shells for many years, collected from various sources.

    Hi Matt,

All exceptional, as always. I was about to say that #1 was my favourite, followed by #3 (for the composition and beauty of the shells) but there is something especially intriguing about #2 - somewhat mesmerizing.

Hi Matt, I'll agree with L.Paul, Binnur and Christina that #1 and 3 seem to respond quite well to this treatment!

It's No 3 for me Matt, it looks very much like a piece of coral or starfish.
