Halloween 2... (1 is to follow)

These were taken after I had almost deconstructed my "The Shining" set, as the 2 events were on consecutive nights, my friend's daughter was happy with the full "Hotel Overlook" experience for her night! my daughter was not.
I will sort through those first ones & post some tomorrow in the meantime, here are a couple of Fashionista & her friend.
Her costume may have been more 'look at me' than scary & she didn't want any coloured gels or fog or anything 'extra' so that was a shame.
Off camera flash camera right & some ambient down lights through makeshift cobwebs as diffusers on the ceiling.

Although the blood splattered axe from the Overlook set, did come in handy!

I see I have cropped in an odd way again! - silly habit, I must check more carefully.

I like #1 very much Kay...the lighting there is really good as well as the others and #3 and 4 shots looks more like little Red Robin hood fashion styles. They are all pretty shots, it is just that I very much prefer a little bit of close-up too like the first one. Their poses are very cute for an overview of their outfits. Love them all...

This is just too cool Kay!

Great models in costume? I love Halloween!

Kind of a bummer about the “no-gels-no-fog” restriction though! I guess I just like “photographer toys”!

The lighting looks great to me Kay. Skin tones and colors look good to me. Did you get to try any other lighting set-ups on them?

From a purely technical standpoint I doubt I could mention anything you aren’t already aware of. You already mentioned the crops but I assume you have enough real estate to re-crop if you wanted.

The floor is one obvious item. And the crease(s) in the backdrop would be the other thing that I thought might be a little too noticeable. Mostly the vertical crease in the head/shoulder area. Just a few little dust spots here and there on the set.

That stuff is “fixable” after the fact and I think you nailed the lighting and the poses and the important fun stuff that makes these shots cool!

Can’t wait to see your next set!

Did I mention I love Halloween?

Very colourful shots Kay #1 is special for me . I would clone the brown thing next to her hood at the upper right of the frame in #1.

Thankyou Terry, Izzy & Binnur for viewing & commenting.
The floor in the real set, had blood splatter or fog on it or it wasn't lit enough to see the differences, so hopefully it will be ok in the 'real thing'.
The wee brown blob, is Goldilocks' other 'Bear ear' I think Binnur, but I will check that.
Maybe the success of the whole weekend will be judged on how well I got our son's room back to normal again, before he comes home from University!
Thanks again, I will have some time to show the real thing from "The Shining" tonight.
