Yellow Plumeria
After three years of tending to the plants (started with seeds), the plumeria flowers are now beginning to appear. Plumeria flowers are used in the making of Hawaiian leis.

That is a nice shot John
I've never seen these flowers before so just googled them to see them in their entirety, beautiful!

Re: Yellow Plumeria
Yes I agree, a very different aspect than expected & it makes for a really nice composition.

Re: Yellow Plumeria
Very colourful and effective composition. They are more commonly called Frangipani here and only grow in very warm sheltered positions.

Re: Yellow Plumeria
Very good John.
I'm just waiting for the flowers to appear from the buds on the one in my front garden.
It's known as frangipani here and a flower I have struggled to produce any decent macro from other than identical to your shot, or its buds. Unfortunately the flowers fall off very quickly as well.

Thanks to Paul and Grahame...now I know what it is...I also know that as frangipani. I like the shot though, very different and colourful.
