Very nice.
Maybe you could have gone a fraction wider to show a little bit more water at the bottom, but I'm not really concerned about the way it is now.
Looks good to be in all respects.
This works very well for me. I just love the distant layers and the contrast between the straight lines of those layers and the curved line of the dam.
I like this image. Great job of catching the clouds hanging in the valleys. Works well in B&W.
What is the location and the name of the dam?
Can you walk down to the area on the left and look down the face of the dam?
Hi Nikola Very nice misty mountains . Also the buildings on the left add a sense of scale to the image. I don't think the dam is too close to the bottom , it makes a good framing for the mountains this way.
Thank you to all of you for the feedback!
Geoff, yes I think more water could be an improvement
Jim, the lake\dam name is "Teleccio", they are inside a national park on Alps, Italy. The dam is one of the many that supply about 45% of the power needed by the city of Torino, the city where Fiat automobiles was established.
I have a couple of pictures from the dam feet:
Nicola, I like this very much. Both the image and the vision to see it.

Though I have already commented favorably about the first photo, I also have to mention that viewing it now for the fourth or fifth time is every bit as enjoyable as when I viewed it the first time. For me, that's one of the hallmarks of a great image.
Wonderful image Nicola!
thank you
for all these appreciations!
I would agree that the framing is off just a tad. Maybe shot from a little lower or slightly more to the right? But still and all a fine shot.
Hi Nicola, although both images are great, I usually prefer color over B&W.
By the way, I picked up on the Project 52 thread in your signature line and as I recall looking through those images when they were first posted in 2012. I went back for a second look.
I was a bit surprised by the image in post #16! I am guessing that TinyPics deletes older images and perhaps a newer image ended up with the same image ID that your original shot had. In a way I'm not surprised as that has happened to an image in my Project 52 thread as well!
I was wondering if the Mods would like to start a fresh Project 52 for 2015?
Hi Frank,
Absolutely it's not a picture of mine!
I suppose that the same link name of my picture has been associated to an other picture...
I really would like to attend to a new Project 52 in 2015! It was really training for me, and now I also need to be pushed to keep on shooting with my camera.
Maybe we can ask the Mods...
bye

Nicola, that's beautiful. That sort of tonal regression is what mono is all about. I have no problem with the framing except that I think I detect a slight lean to the left that would be worth correcting. Lovely image.
This is an awesome shot, breathtaking scenery!
I have been trying to keep the weekly photos idea alive but seem to be the only one 'still surviving'.
So I was going to ask for more volunteers during 2015. Maybe do some serious thinking about reviving the idea next month. Although, of course, anybody can start at anytime; it doesn't have to strictly follow an exact calendar year.
Hi Brian, perhaps the best way to get introduced to the Project 52 that was done in 2012 is to take a look at this link: Project 52: Index and FAQ.
Not only will you see the concept, but you can also locate everyone's Project 52 thread if you want to see how the members did. This wasn't a competition like any other at CiC. The goal was to compete with yourself to try to learn something new or improve some aspect of your personal photography each week. It is definitely a challenge just to come up with something to work on each week!
By the same token, it was a refreshing learning experience that we all benefitted from.
There is plenty of time to ask the Moderators to set one up for 2015 if there is enough interest.
