does lightroom 4 have default setting for....

    hi
does lightroom 4 have default setting for contrast , saturation, brightness etc [but not sharpness] , i ask because i want to process images, raw to JPEG, quickly but making the least amount of changes thus keeping it suitable for a stock agency, where the end user usually prefers to make changes as required.

ideally a single button to apply these changes would be nice

    thanks

    Hi.

Yes it does, lightroom can be set to apply some default processing on import. you can set various different combinations and save them as a preset and just apply them on import. also in the develop modual you can process an image, then select other pictures in the filmstrip and apply the same changes to the whole selection.

    thats good to hear.
i know this next question indicates great laziness on my part. i see there are presets included in LR and they can be altered. as my monitor is not yet properly calibrated [until i but a calibrator] i wont really be able to judge how good an images looks after i use a preset, but i still wish to send them to my stock agency account.

so, is there a good general preset that i could use [with its default setting] on all my images, safe in the knowledge that the pix will be at acceptable at the other end

    thanks
