    Moon Beach

I went out to shoot at a lake this morning but it absolutely poured down with rain, so I stayed in the car and went through some old images that I'd never bothered editing etc on my laptop.

This is one of them, I think it has a bit of an abstract feel to it. Also I am not sure whether to clone out the boat silhouettes on the horizon... Somethings telling me I should, but I kind of like them.

Anyway here is the image, C&C welcome

EDIT: I forgot to mention this image was taken around the time we head the super moon.

Matt, If it were mine I would leave the boats due to the number of them, suggesting something/telling part of a story, if it had been a single one I would have cloned it out.

I suspect there's a few crop variations also possible from top or bottom here but I have no problem with this one.

Thanks for viewing Grahame, I played with a few different crops but this is the one I preferred in the end after a lot of deliberation with myself

As Grahame mentioned, there are several crop alternatives.

With the 'main action' being centered, I wonder about cropping the sides to produce a 4 x 5 ratio which would make more impact from the centre; and possibly one of those instances where 2 x 3 ratio would work well?

Cheers Geoff, I've cropped the sides slightly and I think it has improved it.

Hi Matt . As soos as I looked at your image I liked it and I said to myself if it was mine I would crop from both sides. Then I started reading the comments and I saw your crop alternative. IMO it is splendid, I wouldn't clone the boats either

I like the last one too, Matt...the inclusion of the moon and the shadows really brought the depth of this one...beautiful ....

I like the second one a bit better. I also like the boats as they held my attention for a but longer nicely done Matt.
