I am hoping to get some time tonight to process them. I spent a couple hours fighting my computer last night. By time I won the battle I didn't feel like doing anymore with the darn thing

Thanks again, it was a very chilly day when I shot these but just got lost in the moment. I usually struggle to find subjects other than people, buildings, and birds.

Oh Marie...what a beautiful find you have there!!! I love the colours too apart from the composition. It has that mysterious thing about it that entices one to explore some more...

+1 to John's comment too. And John I really love those pinecone and nuts shot of yours too...remind me of my yard at the side of the house...lots of pine cones and nuts when I don't need them...in the instance that I do, the squirrels had already beat me to them nuts...

These 'quiet' woods run alongside a river and when I spotted this tree (see below) I was hoping to catch a view of the river through the gap. As I was on my knees taking a shot, I suddenly heard a shuffling of leaves and - before I could turn around - an over-friendly bounced onto my back! Well, I can tell you, I got such a fright I almost landed in the river ...!!

As I was on my knees taking a shot, I suddenly heard a shuffling of leaves and - before I could turn around - an over-friendly bounced onto my back!
