Nice capture, very dramatic.
Excellent detail in this one and the eyes are cool.
Well captured David
Hi David,
Your images of insects are truly exquisite. I especially adore the golden tones in this one.

so sharp!
Is it a single shot or a stacking? In the first case what aperture?
thanks
Nicola

The secret life of the fly exposed for all to see
Somehow love and passion is not really portrayed here to me Good one David.

Thank you Christina, much appreciated
Hi Nicola, just one frame, exif-Canon 7d-canon 100mm macro-Canon 580ex 11 with diffused flash-F14-SS 1/200-ISO 200, hope this helps
Cheers David
Great technique and processing, David!
Cheers Grahame, not totally exposed, the main area has been blurred for family viewing
David
Thank you Binnur, the sun was just catching the side of them, think this helped
Cheers Phil, thank's for commenting bud
You mean there was more?
Anywhoooo....the colours of the eyes are excellent and the sharpness beyond nitting. Did you use a flash on these two before you told them to ."..break it up!" ? If there are not in this position, how can one recognize which one is the male and which one is the female? So many questions, I know...but I am curiously confused...they look almost the same size and looks...
Great details in this shot
Cheers Izzie, trust you lol, yes diffused flash was used, and as for telling them apart the male is the one with the BIG eyes
