This is very pretty Rita. I like the story that this perspective gives, that the leaves fell down and now they're on the ground, and they're still pretty...Simple, but nice anyway. I have tried some similar shots this autumn. On a technical level, I am somewhat surprised that you were able to get both the near leaves and far trees in focus.
Very good Rita, certainly a different perspective than we normally see.
Grahame
Always nice to see things differently Rita, well done you!
Different, Rita...I will just guess you used matrix here but what are your settings...? Very very nice...
Nice shot Rita, I've been meaning to try something similar myself.
Nicely done, great angle.
Nice and different Rita I also like the colors.
Thank you everyone.
Izzie, my settings were ISO 400, f8, SS 1/40.
I like your style, Rita. The only thing I'd suggest is to crop up from the bottom just enough to remove the leaves that are the most out of focus, perhaps not more than 1/3rd of the fallen leaves. A slight CCW rotation might help the 'look' of the trees leaning to the right.
Hi Frank, thanks for the suggestions. I will try the crop out and I will definitely do the rotation. Can't believe I didn't see that it needed to be rotated
Hi Rita,
Indeed, very nice. Gorgeous colours. I also adore the perspective, and would crop a little bit off of the bottom.
The only thing I can think of to say is that if the scene at hand allows (a wide expanse of trees) that I think that this scene would be especially beautiful with a wide view.
Christina, I agree with you that a wider shot would have been better but on either side of this scene were parking lots
I am hoping to try this type of image again if the wind doesn't blow everything away in the meantime.
Rita, I agree with Christina. You've inspired me as well - to see things from a different perspective and consider shooting from a low angle!
