Nice capture Jack, what did we do before mobile-cell phones?![]()
Talk to one another, read a book while waiting, watching people passes by while Jack take a shot at you..introduce yourself to the person next to you and smile...lots of things. Have you ever wondered if your mug shot is in the internet because people like Jack was around from time to time interested in what you are doing, then taking your photograph and posting it in some forum?
No offense meant, Jack...just commenting because I had thought of that other two street photo uploads you did the other day...this is one nice too...bet you someone will say -- please remove that empty bottle and the shadow at the bottom right side or something else...Do you think these two are related? They are both rotund...
Nice capture.
Not sure I get what the shot is of?
Thanks David. I have 7 or 8 pics of people on their cell phones, in fact I would say it's very difficult to take a street shot and not have at least one person captured using their cell, although more likely it' 3 or 4 people on their phones.
Hey Izzie,
Believe it or not, the single best way to meet and talk with people in NYC is to walk around with a (really, really cute) dog. I have met more strangers who come up to me and want to meet and pet my dog. I'm finding also that (as I did last week) walking around with my dog and camera that most people's attention is drawn to the dog and I become invisible for a few seconds.
I don't know that the two are related or even associated. It was an interesting scene to me.
Thanks John.
Steve,
The shot is just a capture of an everyday street scene. For what it's worth, street photography is similar to landscape photography in that, oftentimes it is the entire scene that is the subject, as opposed to a flower or bug or other obvious central subject.
However, in this case I happened to observe the man in the foreground watching the three girls (now in the background) as they went by. So the title of this post is a reference to a Jethro Tull song.
Hi Jack. IMO the dark line combinig the stones on the ground is a bit too noticeable and dividing the image, but I think it can be fixed with PP![]()
good street photography jack
Thank you Vaez, I enjoy your images as well.
This seems like one of those rare shots when people are watching something other than their phones. Three heads directed at the three women. I see you have the Xs going on again too, Jack.
