I thought it was a real girl when I saw the shark's head but as I scrolled down the legs and the arms have some shine in them ... spotted well...

Hi Frank,

A local artist's interpretation of our inner turmoil. I photographed because I just like kitsch art. It was a dull, cloudy day and I knew the bright colors would stand out.

I think I would prefer a mermaid but you have to take what you can get. My biggest worry is that whoever thought of making it is possibly going to make something else.

I wouldn't hang Shark Girl on my wall but I must say that you've photographed her beautifully.
