Nice shot, the head looks a bit distorted. I had a similarly looking capture of a lion and I guess it's the distribution of fur that causes it.

Looks like having one ear forward and one backward is causing a little bit of facial distortion; but it does give better all round sound in case something is sneaking up from behind.

Whether that makes for a better more natural scene or slightly spoils the facial symmetry will probably be a matter of personal opinion.

Nice shot, my only critique would be that the background is a little bit distracting.

uh, that would be because the deer has camouflaged itself so it blends in for safety.

    Nice capture.

Nice capture. Both the evergreen branch and the fallen deciduous leaves are complimentary decorations for this picture of the deer, though I would like it if it were a little less cluttered/messy, but it is reasonable in that regard for a scenario like that.

    Honestly? I didn't realise.

Thanks for that insight, but I still think there is too much going on in the background or "cluttered" as Nick said.

Thanks all for the feedback and comments.

I did ask the lady to stop moving her ears and move to a different location but she said no.

I wonder if opening the aperture up could have blurred the leaves so they aren't so 'sharp' and distracting.
