I think this shot would work better if you showed the expression on the two opponents' faces.

As an ex-ice hockey referee (lacrosse would be similar), the players taking the faceoff are watching the referees hands and puck /ball, so the heads would be facing inwards and slightly turned towards the referee. Catching what the referee is doing helps win faceoffs.
The best shooting angle would be through the referee's body. The other side opening would be mostly blocked by the player's heads.
