Aside... I also like both of these cropped in half (even though the foreground is lost ) simply because as such they look like a never-ending medley of gorgeous light and soft colours.
    Hi Christina,

I'm pleased you like them and agree preference can be affected by mood at the time.

Next chance I get I will take the same scenes with the tide in so no foreground and see if I can capture a more 'simple' image emphasising muted colours and shapes. The location is only 10 minutes down the road

Unfortunately Binnur as I passed the postcards in the Post Office this morning I noticed that the majority of theirs had no borders, unlike the shop across the road

So perhaps I can sell them this one, photographed without that knowledge at the time

    Postcard from Suva

Seriously, without knowing the final use of any image, whether for a canvas, the web, print, matted, have to match a series, have to compliment a room décor or whatever I would not spend time trying to consider what if any border is preferable.

This one can be for the wall -- so what would you suggest as a frame for this one? And what medium should you print it?

    Absolutely. The totality is crucial.

Hi Izzie, I don't think I would put that one on the wall, a bit too dark.

It's destined to join its friends to no doubt spend the rest of its life on a hard drive

I would. You are too humble...
