    Gharials

Gharials are narrow snouted, fish-eating crocodiles that are on the critically endangered list. We saw a significant part of the world's remaining ones at the Gharials Breeding Center in Chitwan National Park,in Nepal.

Heck, talk about the evil eye, the one nearest the camera gives me the creeps. Nice shot Manfred.

Never heard of them. As Binnur suggests, an entire dentistry industry could be built around these guys.

Probably not. There are only some 200+ of these creatures left in the wild. They estimate that 1% to 3% make it past their first year of life.

I think I've only seen sketches of these crocodiles before. Now I understand why. These guys appear to be well fed and content.

Thank you for posting this Manfred.

It's a nice shot, and it's always cool to see a rare animal. Is there a slight vignette around the outside? Maybe you meant that to be there.

Yes. I apply a vignette to most of my images. They help draw the viewer's eyes into the image.
