    White-Breasted Nuthatch

Just took this in my backyard using a camouflage hunting blind. The blind was well worth the $40 as my 7 year old son and I have already spent time just watching.

    Very nice.
Background is attractive, and the pose is classic (upside-down )

Nice. Hunting blinds are so awesome for backyard birds. If you have some good bird feeders set up for a few weeks, you will get tons of birds, and can position the blind quite close. The birds will get used to it and won't care about you at all. Good photo opps at that point (or further back if you have a long lens). Enjoy!

I think it is time to head to Cabela's or Bass Pro...nice catch, Steve. And great that you are having a good time teaching your son about birds and photography. How old is he? 7 is a good age. He will remember this time of his life with you for a long time.
