Young festival attendee in National Dress - Bhutan

I took this closeup portrait of a young girl at the festival wearing national dress. Bhutanese nationals are required to wear their national dress when visiting temples and monasteries the festivals are religious festivals that take place in monastery and Dzong (fortified monastery) courtyards.

Because of the lighting conditions and time of day, I had to dodge and burn parts of the face to soften the shadows and highlights.

Tough lighting situation handled very well. The inquisitive look makes this more than a photo displaying national dress.

Nice portrait and timely capture of an expression that could be caused by the glaring sun or pure boredom.
