Well seen and photographed. I think it needs a bit of cropping from the top of the first flower from the left...it doesn't need the sky that much. Try looking at it from lytebox and you will see what I mean...just my opinion...

i know its a bit off but i think the sky is accented by the dead flowers -- the whole bland lifeless sky contrasted by the wilting flowers thing seems forboding ?? ... but just a thought ........

I can't think much this morning. My left eye is blurring my thoughts. Maybe I should revisit this image again...

I agree with Izzie, but I'd go one step further and crop out the sky completely.
I think its got a lot of potential!

Re: sunflowers -but not so suuny
Hi Matthew, I have looked at this a few times, as it basically appeals to me, but I think I would crop tighter around the four flowerheads that I see as providing your basic structure (I see a 5x7 crop that takes off from the top, bottom and LHS) and then (perhaps) selectively process so as to subtly throw a bit more attention on them and de-emphasize everything else.

Lemonade from lemons! Nice rescue of a disheartening scene to make a very nice image. I'm not able to recommend a change in cropping that I would prefer - I think you're close as is.
