The Tshechu Festival in Thimpu, Bhutan is the largest and most important fall festival in the country.

In this image the brightly dressed mask dancers enter the Dzong courtyard to perform their dance.




Only monks or dancers from the Royal Academy of Performing Arts are allowed to dance at this festival, which is held in the courtyard of the Tashichho Dzong, which is also the seat of the Bhutanese government. The King attends this festival.

Definitely colourful and very interesting. The exposure and saturation in this one shows the scene off to it's best.

I guess I could try to user the pucker tool in Photoshop to shrink down his belly. The dancers here are Buddhist monks, not professional dancers, so the body shape comes with the lifestyle.
