A view of the town of Foix (Ariege, S France) taken from the Prat d'Albis (a big lump just south of the town).
A really nice view but nothing really worth pointing a camera at until dusk when the lights come on and provide a focal point. Foix sort of marks the point in the Ariege where the flatter landscape gives way to the Pyrenees to the South and things become more interesting and vertical.

Nicely captured at just the right time for a good exposure balance between fading light on the countryside and street lighting etc. Good feeling of distance, interesting.

Distant lights are difficult to photograph so this has worked well. Obviously some noise will be present in the clouds, but this isn't excessive so it should print OK.
