I have dabbled with this before so I dug out a Zuiko f/1.8 50mm and had a wander around the garden. To be honest I was after some nice sharp macro style shots. After the first couple of shots I realised I was getting something that could be much more creative with a little time and practise. Anyway this are the 'first stabs'. I don't want to give anyone nightmares but the 50mm lens was hand held against the Canon 40D body. I considered Blu Tac and duck tape but luckily had second thoughts

These are great Steve, I think the 'not so pin sharp focus' works really well on these and I really like the presentation - border and drop shadow - it sets them off really well.

Very interesting shots, Steve. I too have a Zuiko f/1.8 50mm, it's been at the back of a cupboard for a few years. I always knew someone would come up with a use for it one day. I didn't know who, I just knew it probably wouldn't be me.
Just think what you could do with a Canon lens? Or a Nikon
