Can you pick out some of the historic sites?

I can see a couple of familiar landmarks: Montmartre, Tuileries for example, but I don't know Paris very well. I feel as though I want to zoom in to see more details of particular areas. It's an interesting picture all the same. It really needs to be a big panorama but you can't display such a thing here.

Plenty of really fine detail here; even in the far distance when viewed at full screen size.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback... the church at the top of the picture at the highest point is Basilica Sacre-Coeur and the glass domes to the right just above the Seine river is Grand Palais and Petit Palais.

That's worth a few moments' look. It makes me curious as to where you were to get such a view over the other buildings?

I love this image. It reminds me of pictures in which the viewer is invited to find things (which of course we were).
