Minimal Autumn. C&C would be nice

Wading through the Autumn detritus on my way to the mailbox this morning I looked down for a change and noticed that the fallen leaves were basically two distinct colours. The idea for this image came from noticing this. So half an hour later after grovelling around sorting leaves (much to the amusement of my neighbours) I came up with this. I kind of like the idea but not totally sure about the image. What do you think, improvements, bin or what ?

What a neat idea Paul! It opens up possibilities of all kinds of two-tone patterns with the details in the leaves providing added interest. Well seen and well captured!

Holy Cow! You went through all the motions and did this?! I wish I can be as creative...beautiful shot. I like the colour differences and contrast.

Thanks folks, consensus is that it's a keeper.
Chauncey, the spiral did occur but wet leaves aren't that compliant so the circle was the best I could do.
Somewhat inspired I guess by the artist Andy Goldsworthy. Look him up on Google for some jaw dropping work.

I would not, in any sense of the word, call him a photographer.

    Bill, ditto Izzie's question?

Are you saying that people who take pictures for documentary purposes are not photographers? Not sure I "got" your statement either.

Brambleweeny - what a great idea!

Thanks again folks, so, some more grovelling around in wet leaves this weekend probably.
Actually I never referred to Andy Goldsworthy as a photographer (although I believe he does photograph his own work). The idea is a pale imitation of some of his work. Bit like saying my portraits are inspired by Rembrandt (also not a photographer as far as I know )

I like it, creative and interesting as well as it would make a great jigsaw - if you really wanted to drive someone up the wall
