This is a view of the facde of the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, in Jaipur. It was built in the late 1700s of red and pink sandstone. A very fitting material for use in the "Pink City".

With an aperture of f/18 at 14mm focal length, the DoF is from less than 1m to infinity. Shooting at 1/125th second means no motion blur and the camera has maximum colour depth and dynamic range at ISO 200. There would be a bit of quality loss from diffraction effects, but for this type of image, the impact is negligible.

Quite mesmerising when viewed at full size in the lightbox. Again, 'seeing' the picture in the first place is the first step to a good final image.
