Helpful Posts: These are three of our 'pets,' raised on a bottle from wee tackers here at home. They will never go to market but live out their days in peace and quiet, to freely wander our hills, pampered and over-fed, here with us. They are such gentle, loveable souls.
So, we have Bonnie, Mrs Ucci's 'little girl' who is stud registered but but being the female member of twin offspring is an infertile female 'fremartin,' and, as such, of no value as a stud cow for breeding, So she came to us as a calf at a knock down price. The Hereford is my girl, Penelope, who, knowing my great love of the breed, was bought for me as a calf by mrs ucci as a birthday prezzie. The other one is Runt, who was born on our property, and Runt is 'anyones ' who may just happen to have a biscuit or two on offer.
They are all very 'special' to us.

Seeing they are "pets", are they touchable??? Do you brush their coat like you do with horses or dogs? Just asking...'am curious...haven't been close to cattles lately (read this as "for a loooooooonnngggggggg time"...) though the warm carabao milk is now just but a memory...
I like Bonnie's hair...very neat. The shot is neat too: all sharp and good eye contact too. In #2, Bonnie looks stumpy, all muscles and man! very well fed. How many acres do you occupy where you live? These cows have a lot of playground!!!
I like the colour of Penelope...cute name too. Hereford is a good breed along with Angus, for meat production. Good shot of her here...do you breed cattles?
Runt is runt. Bonnie is more the muscular type...
I bet ya all of them have personalities...

Nice shots, Ken, but you need a sense of scale. Perhaps include your wife standing on top of a 6' ladder, reaching up to scratch Bonnie's ear.

Thank you all for taking the time to view and post a comment. Glad you all seem to approve our pet pampering programme. The wee beasties seem to thrive on it. And Greg, FYI, at our respective ages Mrs ucci and old ucci 'don't do ladders ' anymore.
