    Been a while... Llyn-Y-Fan Fawr

I have been busy lately moving house (hate moving ) but yesterday a friend and I climbed Fan Brycheiniog (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_Brycheiniog)

Here is a bit of background info on the lake:

Llyn y Fan Fawr (Welsh: 'lake of the big peak') is a natural lake in the county of Powys, Wales. It lies at the foot of Fan Brycheiniog, the highest peak of the Black Mountain range within the Brecon Beacons National Park.

This is the only photo I have had a chance to edit so far, a lot of them didn't come out that well because after this point it started to get really misty and at the peak, visibility was really bad and there was really fine snow.

    C&C Welcomed, as always

I can only relate to this beautiful scene, Matt...I hope you had resized it a little bit more larger...

Beautiful light , Matt. The shoreline running through the centre does trouble me though. I can see why you wanted to include everything, but a crop from the bottom would improve it, IMHO

A gorgeous shot of a beautiful place. It looks quite cold too!

It looks like the climb was a lot more fun than moving too!

That's nice Matt. Worth the climb just for that one. As Dave says, beautiful light.

    Thanks Manfred and John.

Yes Manfred, it was absolutely freezing... well worth it though. The only disappointment was that we couldn't see anything from the peak, it was a complete whiteout. But thats another excuse to go again in the spring/summer

I would crop just below the large stone on the left. That leaves more or less thirds with water, the hills (from around the middle) and the sky. (Estimated by sliding the image down on my tablet , so not very precise)

It seems a bit flat now for me.

Lovely shot Matt I prefer the uncropped version , I like that crowd in the FG for some reason, I think it gives some depth to the image.
